No one should be allowed to marry such a person knowingly that he is a relative who is not allowed to marry according to the custom, tradition or belief of his caste or clan.
(2) Whoever commits an offense under sub-section (1) in relation to the following shall be punished as follows:-
(a) Imprisonment of birth in case of birth mother of son or father of daughter,
(b) step-mother, son or father-in-law, brother or sister, brother-in-law or sister-in-law, daughter-in-law of the same branch, granddaughter or great-granddaughter of the same branch, brother-in-law and brother-in-law or brother-in-law of the same branch, imprisonment from four years to ten years and forty thousand rupees to one lakh rupees Fine,
(c) great-grandson, great-grandson or great-great-grandson of the same branch, great-grandfather or great-uncle of the same branch, great-nephew of the same branch, great-grandmother or aunt, sister-in-law of the same branch, great-uncle, niece or nephew, maternal great-grandmother or younger mother and son and If the mother-in-law and son-in-law act towards their wife, imprisonment for three to six years and a fine of Rs.30,000 to Rs.60,000. (d) Apart from what is written in Clause (a), (b) or (c), in case of any other relation up to seven generations of your lineage, imprisonment from one year to three years and a fine of ten thousand to thirty thousand rupees, considering the relation and generation as well.
